CUWS entered CQWW SSB at the end of October but sadly we were beaten into second place in our category (Multi-op, 2 stations, England) by the Wisbech Contest Group who had much more space for big antennas.

During the contest we noticed that the shack roof was leaking and we owe a huge vote of thanks to the team of George M1GEO, Dan M0WUT, and Dom M0BLF, led by Rob M0VFC who replaced the entire roof over a couple of November weekends.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

At the end of term we used the special youth callsign GB24YOTA for a few days and made around 800 QSOs.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

At the end of the year we welcomed Henry Mak from the Stephen Perse school to guest operate in the December YOTA Contest.
